Protective coatings engineering answers not the question “which material should I buy?” but the question “how do I protect this particular structure so that the protection lasts its intended life?”. We develop schemes for corrosion protection, fire protection, chemical protection and waterproofing, calculate and justify thicknesses, prepare specifications and documentation for the client and the main contractor, and organise testing and inspection on site. Supply of materials and application are added only if you need them.

For an initial assessment — online selectors: corrosion protection, fire protection, grouts. Designers have a dedicated page.
We welcome enquiries in this field: describe your task and we will tell you how we can help and in what format.
Our services
Each service can be ordered on its own or together with others — from a one-off consultation to support until the project is handed over.
Protection schemes
We select the protection system for the specific structure and environment: corrosion protection of steel and concrete, fire protection, chemical-resistant coatings and linings, waterproofing. The scheme covers surface preparation, coats and thicknesses, compatibility with fire protection, application conditions and inspection. More →
Chemical protection of concrete and steel
We handle the chemical protection of floors, channels, sumps, vessels and structures as an engineering task: the service conditions of the coating come from the questionnaire, followed by the system class, substrate preparation, details, specification and inspection. More →
Tank and vessel protection
We design tank protection zone by zone: internal coatings for the stored product, external corrosion protection, the bottom, annular plate and roof, corrosion under insulation; we survey tanks in service and prepare coating repair solutions. More →
Calculations and justification
We calculate the fire protection thickness for every section and the required fire resistance, assess the durability of the corrosion protection system to ISO 12944 and the life-cycle cost, and calculate material quantities and consumption for the project. More →
Adapting designs to the codes of Uzbekistan
We bring the fire protection and corrosion protection sections of foreign designs in line with the codes of Uzbekistan: we compare the requirements, check the documents for the materials, recalculate the solutions and prepare the documents for expert review. More →
Painting specifications and documentation
We prepare painting specifications, fire protection technical solutions, inspection and test plans (ITP) and method statements — to the project’s rules, in Russian, English or both. More →
Testing and quality control
Trial areas, site checks of thickness, adhesion, surface cleanliness and coating continuity; laboratory and fire tests where they cannot be avoided. More →
Coating surveys and failure analysis
We assess the condition of coatings at an operating facility, find the causes of premature failure and propose repair options before repainting. More →
Approval support
We prepare justifications and answers to the comments of the client, the main contractor and the expert review, justify equivalent material replacements and compare the codes of different countries. More →
Coating inspection
We inspect painting and fire protection works at hold points, record deviations and compile reports and quality dossiers for acceptance. More →
Material supply and application
We supply materials exactly to the protection scheme and, where needed, organise application by partner contractors with quality control. More →
Training seminars
Practical seminars on corrosion protection, fire protection, chemical protection and waterproofing for designers, technical supervision, contractors and maintenance teams. More →
For designers
Selection and calculation of protective coatings for the project section, wording for the documentation and a free express review of the section in any scope. More →
When to contact us
- The design follows foreign codes, while the materials, the contractor and the supervision are local, and the requirements need to be put into terms that every participant understands.
- The specified materials are unavailable or too expensive, and a substitution has to be justified, not just proposed.
- The main contractor requires a painting specification, an inspection plan or a method statement — in Russian, in English or in both languages.
- The fire protection thickness has to be determined for the actual sections and the required fire resistance rating rather than taken “as usual”.
- A coating has started to fail prematurely, and the cause has to be understood before it is repainted.
- A tank, a chemical process area or an underground structure is being commissioned, where a mistake in protection is particularly costly.
- Your designers, contractor or operations staff need practical training.
How we work
- Enquiry. You describe the task and send whatever you have: drawings, the specification, the client’s requirements, photographs of the site.
- Assessment. We clarify the input data and propose a format: a one-off consultation, a package of documents or support through to handover of the facility.
- Solution. We develop the scheme, calculations and documents and discuss them with you and your designer.
- Execution. If you wish — supply of materials, application through our partners, on-site inspection, a seminar for the work crews.
Standards we work to
We align our solutions with the codes of Uzbekistan: ShNK 2.01.02-04 on the fire safety of buildings and structures (ShNK = Uzbekistan’s Urban Planning Norms and Rules) and ShNK 2.03.11-24 on the protection of building structures against corrosion. Where a project follows international requirements, we work with ISO 12944, the ISO 8501–8503 standards on surface preparation, ISO 19840 on thickness inspection, EN 13381 and EN 1993-1-2 on the fire protection and fire resistance of steel, and the American ASTM and UL standards. An overview of the standards of different countries is given in the “Fire protection standards” section.
Solutions not tied to a brand
We build the protection scheme around the task: the environment, the temperature, the required fire resistance rating, the application conditions and the service life. We select materials from different manufacturers and explain why we are proposing them. You can order engineering only — without supply and without application. If supply or application remains with us, on-site quality control can, at your request, be carried out by an independent party.
Documents in Russian and English
On projects with foreign main contractors, coating documentation is often required in two languages, with a title sheet, a revision sheet and document numbering to the project’s rules. We prepare documents in Russian, in English or in bilingual form.
Where we work
Uzbekistan and, on request, projects in neighbouring Central Asian countries. We prepare documents and calculations remotely and agree site visits to suit the task.
